Residual concrete modifier TERA

TERA

When scattering and mixing TERA to residual concrete in the hopper of the concrete pump after the pumping process, the residual concrete comes into crushed stone.

Registered in the new technology and new construction method utilization system

  • Registered in NETIS (system for utilizing new technology in public works, etc.) in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) as CB-180006-A
  • Patent pending

Features
  • Residual concrete becomes non-industrial waste
  • TERA helps to build compliance systems because there is no need to transport residual concrete outside the site.
  • Residual concrete modified by TERA can be used as RC material available for scattering on-site parking lots or reclaiming puddle areas
  • The amount of water used to wash around the hopper can be greatly reduced, and the environment of the site can be preserved.

How to use
  • TERA: (1) Scatter TERA over the whole residual concrete and mix with a mixer and a S bubble.
    (1) Scatter TERA over the whole residual concrete and mix with a mixer and a S bubble. One bag (800 g) can process 0.4 m3 of residues.
  • TERA: (2) Mix for 3 minutes and scrape off the ready-mixed concrete on the container with a scraper.

  • TERA: (3) Residual concrete turns into the first class improved soil. The soil is gumless and can be reused immediately.

Precautions for use
  • Store in a dry place. TERA can be stored for 2 years in case of unopened. It’s recommended to store it indoors as little humidity as possible. Storing it with a desiccant is more effective.
  • The amount of residual concrete in the hopper that can be processed in one bag is approx. 0.35 m3 to 0.4 m3.
  • Once opened, use the whole amount without leftovers. Scatter 1 bag (780 g) into the hopper. Refer to the volume above as the standard.
  • The blade of the stirring device in the hopper may be slightly worn, but it will not have a major impact.
  • Spread the residual concrete discharged from the hopper after stirring as thinly as possible.
  • If TERA and the residual concrete do not mix well when discharging from the hopper, mix them while spreading and leveling off.
  • Be more careful to level off in rainy weather. Lower water content is favorable condition.
  • Depending on the site, the pumping company does not perform the work of filling the discharged residual concrete into sandbags, etc., and ask the site manager to select and confirm the person in charge.
  • When using the discharged residual concrete for RC materials, backfilling materials, or for mending uneven terrain in the site, etc., it should be decided by the site manager.
